# Geovonic branding change: Required actions starting 1/26/2026** **

As part of the recent rebranding update, some changes will affect **authentication and service configurations** in both **ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online**. This article provides a **centralized list of required actions** and answers to frequently asked questions (FAQ) to help you ensure uninterrupted access and functionality.

Starting 1/14/2026, the transition is rolling out in stages. The initial update affects only the UI for Connect for ArcGIS and Web AppBuilder; no action is required now.

However, **upcoming changes will require mandatory and recommended user actions** to maintain service continuity.

---

## What is changing

Due to the rebranding, our application URLs will transition to a new domain. The new URL are as follows:

- Extensions for ArcGIS: [https://extensions.cartinuum.com](https://extensions.cartinuum.com) - 1/14/2026
- Web AppBuilder Migrate: [https://app.cartinuum.com/web-appbuilder-migrate](https://app.cartinuum.com/web-appbuilder-migrate) - 1/26/2026
- Connect for ArcGIS: [https://app.cartinuum.com/connect/](http://app.cartinuum.com/connect/) - 2/26/2026

---

## What does this mean for me?

- ArcGIS Enterprise users: Must update the **App ID** immediately to continue logging in and authenticating and to continue using certain service.
- ArcGIS Online users: May need to update “Allow origins” URL list and Redirect URI in App ID created for certain service.

---

## 1. Mandatory Action for ArcGIS Enterprise (Critical for Login/Authentication)

Please note that the mandatory updates apply **only to organisations using ArcGIS Enterprise** or those that have enabled specific **security configurations**, such as custom Allowed Origins. If your organisation does not use these setups, no action is required and you may continue using the new domain as normal.

### **1.1 Update Redirect URLs in existing App ID**

The new domain must be added to the Redirect URLs under the App ID settings in your ArcGIS Enterprise portal before signing in

- Product: Connect for ArcGIS and Web AppBuilder Migrate
- Steps:
  - Log in to your **ArcGIS Enterprise Portal **and select your Content
  - Select your existing App ID used for authentication.
  - Go to Settings and under **Redirect URLs**, add the new domain:
  - Save changes.
- Error message if misconfigured: `Invalid redirect URI`

### **1.2 Whitelist new URLs in ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise**

If your organization has enabled the Allow Origins restriction in the security settings of your ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise portal, this can block access to Connect for ArcGIS. To prevent this, add the new domain to your organization’s **Allowed Origins** list to ensure apps and integrations function properly.

- **Product: Connect for ArcGIS, Web AppBuilder Migrate**
- Steps:
  - Log in to **ArcGIS Portal **as an administrator.
  - Navigate to **Organization → Settings → Security → Allowed Origins**.
  - Add the following URL:

- Steps:
  - Log in to **ArcGIS Portal **as an administrator.
  - Navigate to **Organization → Settings → Security → Allowed Origins**.
  - Add the following URLs:
  - Save changes.
- Error message if misconfigured: `CORS blocked` `No Access-Control-Allow-Origin`

### 1.3 Re-installation of Connect Relay Service

  - Copy the files to your selected Windows server.
  - Extract the ZIP file to the `C:\ConnectRelayService` folder.

    - Stop and uninstall the Relay Service, run these commands:
      - `RelayService.exe` stop
      - `RelayService.exe` uninstall
    - Stop and uninstall the Plugin Manager, run these commands:
      - `PluginService.exe` stop
      - `PluginService.exe` uninstall
    - It may take a few minutes for the services to stop and uninstall.
You can check the status with `PluginService.exe` status or `RelayService.exe` status. It should show a status of “Non-Existent”.

## Additional actions

### 2.1 Redirect URI update for Hosted Experience Builder login

If you are using Hosted Experience Builder, then you will need to update the Redirect URL in order to access the runtime and deployed apps.

Please add the following Redirect URL to your existing ArcGIS Enterprise Application previously used for logging in to Connect for ArcGIS Hosted Experience Builder:

### 2.2 **Support for the existing Deployed App URL and transition to the new domain (Hosted Experience Builder)**

As part of the ongoing domain transition, all deployed applications will continue operating under its existing URL for the time being. This ensures that users experience no interruption while the migration to the new domain progresses.

- **Continued access to the existing URL**

We will maintain support for the current application URL until further notice. Users may continue accessing the application as usual during this period. No immediate action is required at this stage.

- **New deployed app URL now available**

A new URL under the updated domain has been introduced. While the existing URL remains active, we strongly encourage users to begin adopting the new URL as soon as possible. Early transition will help reduce dependency on the legacy domain and prepare users for future updates.

- **Future redirection to the new domain**

Traffic from the existing URL will be automatically redirected to the new domain. This ensures that users who have not yet switched will still reach the correct application location without service disruption.

- **Impact on future deployments**

Any future re‑deployments of the application will be aligned with the new domain. When this occurs, users will be automatically updated to the new URL. Transitioning early will help ensure a smoother experience when these updates are applied.

## **Recommended actions**

These actions update the brand but do not affect functionality or service access.

### 3.1 Apply new update to Connect for ArcGIS widget

Existing widgets will continue to display the old branding assets (logo) until updated. This does not affect the widget's functionality, only the visuals and widget name.

- **Product: Connect for ArcGIS**
- For ArcGIS Enterprise - Experience Builder, just follow through the instruction in `Widget installation` page.
- For ArcGIS Experience Builder, the steps:
  - Download the latest widget code from the Connect for ArcGIS admin dashboard.
  - Unzip the downloaded file.
  - Copy the `ConnectForArcGIS` folder to the client widget folder in Experience Builder Developer Edition.
    - `/ArcGISExperienceBuilder/client/your-extensions/widgets`
  - From within the `ConnectForArcGIS` folder running npm ci to install the dependencies.
  - If not already running, [run the Experience Builder client](https://developers.arcgis.com/experience-builder/guide/install-guide/#client-install) to package and deploy the widget to your ExB server.
  - Note:
    - The client program is the one that prepares widgets for use in the server. Deploying the new code without running the client program will not complete the deployment process.
    - Before updating any existing applications, please ensure you install the **new Connect for ArcGIS widget**. This step is required to maintain compatibility with your current Experience Builder apps.
When installing the new version, make sure to **keep the existing **`Geovonic Connect`** widget folder** located at: `/ArcGISExperienceBuilder/client/your-extensions/widgets` unchanged.
Both the **new Connect for ArcGIS widget** and the **existing Geovonic Connect widget** folders are required to ensure that previously created applications continue to load correctly.
Although the legacy folder must remain in place for compatibility, we **strongly recommend updating your widget** to the new version for the best performance, long‑term support, and full feature availability.

### **3.2 Renaming Geovonic Connect user groups in ArcGIS portal**

This change does not affect user management; however, it prevents confusion from continued use of old branding.

- **Product: Connect for ArcGIS**
- Steps:
  - Go to your organization’s ArcGIS Portal → Groups
  - Find and open the “Geovonic Connect Administrators” and “Geovonic Connect Users” groups
  - Rename the groups as follows:
    - Connect for ArcGIS Administrators
    - Connect for ArcGIS Users
  - Navigate to Connect for ArcGIS settings → User list and refresh to ensure the list loads completely.
