[The Clock widget](https://extensions.cartinuum.com/product/clock/) adds a configurable clock to an ArcGIS Experience Builder app.

Use this widget when dashboards, operations views, or public-facing apps need to show the current time.

## What this widget does

Clock displays the current time using the configured time format, timezone, and appearance settings. App authors can choose whether to show seconds, day, and date.

## When to use it

Use Clock when users need to:

- Show current time in a dashboard.
- Display a fixed timezone for an operations centre.
- Include date and day information in a public app.
- Provide time context alongside live maps or data feeds.

- 12-hour or 24-hour time format.
- Optional seconds.
- Optional day display.
- Optional date display.
- Timezone selection.
- Configurable text colour.
- Small, medium, and large sizes.
- English, French, and Spanish translations.

## Requirements

- [ArcGIS Experience Builder 1.14 or later.](https://developers.arcgis.com/experience-builder/guide/release-versions/)
- A valid Cartinuum widget license.

## Before you begin

Before configuring Real-Time Clock:

1. Decide where the clock should appear in the app layout.
2. Decide which timezone should be displayed.
3. Decide whether to show seconds, day, and date.
4. Install or enable the widget using the standard widget installation process.

## Add Real-Time Clock to an app

1. Open your app in ArcGIS Experience Builder.
2. Add the Real-Time Clock widget to the page.
3. Open the widget settings.
4. Add the widget license.
5. Configure time and appearance settings.
6. Save and publish the Experience Builder app.

## Configure the widget

| Setting | What it controls |
| --- | --- |
| Time Format | 12-hour or 24-hour display. |
| Show Seconds | Whether seconds are displayed. |
| Show Day | Whether the day of week is displayed. |
| Show Date | Whether the date is displayed. |
| Time Zone | The timezone used by the clock. |
| Text Color | The clock text colour. |
| Size | Small, medium, or large display. |

## Use the widget

The widget displays the current time automatically after the app loads. Users do not need to perform any action.

## Troubleshooting

### The time is not the timezone I expected

Open the widget settings and confirm the selected timezone.

### The clock is too small or too large

Adjust the Size setting.

### Seconds are not displayed

Enable Show Seconds in the widget settings.
